The Product
Designer Giordano Redaelli wanted the Uni container to inspire observers to ask themselves what exists beyond the known universe. But Uni reminds us more of the mysteries beneath the sea than in outer space. The Uni container’s symmetry, texture, and pattern recall a sea urchin’s empty shell, or test. The removable lid makes Uni ideal for storing jewelry or other small valuables.

The Designer
Italian industrial designer Giordano Redaelli’s work Uni was featured in Industreal’s inaugural show “In dust we trust”. Debuting in Milan in 2004, the show invited young designers to rapidly produce works in porcelain for immediate exhibition. The result was a series of innovative bowls, lights and other decorative objects that benefited from the creative rush, ignoring the typical research and development phase. Redaelli is a freelance designer and engineer who works frequently with prominent Milanese design studios.
