The Product
Lisa Stickley incorporates tromple l’oeil painting and finishing techniques to give the illusion of depth and realism to her series of Duck linens. A slightly more masculine variation of her Custard line, the plates here are part of Stickley’s Grampy’s Armchair collection. The designer took inspiration from items a grandfather might own, like perhaps his very own duck-themed tea service.

The Designer
Lisa Stickley found almost instant success upon graduation from London’s Royal College of Art in 2002 with a graduate degree in printed textiles. That same year she started her self-titled brand out of a refurbished Victorian house, and although completing projects for Burberry and Harrod’s, it’s her signature English-vintage-with-a-twist style that has fueled the success of her brand.
