It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jorine Oosterhoff lists Alice in Wonderland, the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson as inspiration for her playful teatime series. Fascinated with the emotion and personality inanimate objects are capable of conveying, Oosterhoff imbues life and humor into each character she creates. Not just a pretty face, Lady Marmalade has a glazed porcelain interior perfect for jams and jellies, and an exquisitely smooth, unglazed porcelain exterior, highlighted by her lovely lid. Pair with Creamy Bastard to finish your toast and jam. Not dishwasher safe.

The Designer
What may sound like a dangerous grouping on paper, Dutch designer Jorine Oosterhoff’s combined affection for fairytales, porcelain, and stop-motion animation have managed to seamlessly merge, creating a humorous style all her own. Operating independently out of her own studio, Jorine, near The Hague, Oosterhoff graduated in 2005 from the Academy of Arts and Design Arnhem.
