Not many of our products are guaranteed by the Belgian Royal Palace. Well, none are, except the linens from Libeco Home. Working exclusively in linen for 150 years has allowed Libeco Home to perfect the cultivation of flax and the production of linens that actually get stronger and softer the more they are used. As Belgian Royal Warrant holders they have sworn an oath of commitment to provide a high quality of goods, but their provincial linens look just as striking spread out under a picnic in the park as they do on a queen’s (or king’s, or twin’s) bed. A wide range of products and vivid colors gives you ample chance to find a piece for your own palace.
Based in Flanders, a region of Belgium historically known for its flax and linen production, Libeco-Lagae celebrate in 2008 their 150th year of setting the standard for Belgian linen production. The linen manufacturers Libeco and Lagae operated in Belgium congruently since 1864 and 1858, respectively, and merged in 1997 to become Libeco-Lagae, the same year they launched Libeco Home.
Libeco-Lagae are involved with every aspect of production of their linens, from cultivating the flax seedling at the beginning of the life cycle, to recycling used linen fibers to make paper and insulation products at the end of the cycle. Ever ecologically conscious, Libeco-Lagae and its subsidiaries focus on zero-waste production, recycling water in their dyeing plants, and offer a line of all-natural dye-free linens.
