The Product
For those of you who can’t resist a spin on the merry-go-round or a trip down the slide, maybe it’s time to take some fun home with you. From a company who's used to making skateboards, this laminated birch swing is designed for serious fun and knows how to hold together: Tunto studio has done extreme weight testing on their swing (bending it into a U-shape!) and still haven't found the breaking point of the wood, and the rope is guaranteed to hold nearly 4,000 pounds. No plastic, no chains, just old-fashioned wood and rope. If you don’t have a tree of your own, co-opt a friend’s, neighbor’s, or local park’s for the afternoon and a kick up your heels.

Not designed for prolonged exposure to outdoor elements, so bring your swing inside when you're done playing.

The Designer & Manufacturer
Finnish designer Mikko Kärkkäinen started his company Tunto in 2005. While committed to designing furniture and lighting using the highest quality materials and custom woodworking techniques, it’s been Tunto’s collaborative efforts with skateboarders and graphic designers that has garnered them the most attention. Tunto’s youthful persona is conveyed through their graphics, colors, and products like their new Keinu swing.
