The Product
This clever tasting spork from Pott is a useful multitool for any chef. The extra sharp tines are designed to pierce vegetables and meat to check for doneness, or check how al dente your pasta is. The bowl of the spoon is wide enough to sample soups and broths, and the long handle assures a safe distance as you go in for just one more taste. Dishwasher safe.

Founded in Germany in 1904 by Carl Hugo Pott, the brand simply known as Pott hit its stride nearly thirty years later when it was joined by Carl Hugo’s son, Carl Pott, a talented cutlery designer. Carl Pott’s devotion to the tenet’s of the Werkbund and Bauhaus movements, specifically minimalism, function and material, combined with his fixation on ergonomics helped establish Pott’s standard for quality.

Pott believes that craft cannot be computerized, and their commitment to traditional methods of production means that every utensil is still produced by hand by skilled craftsmen. Pott employees believe in their product to the point that they are willing to spend hours perfecting a place setting it would take a machine a fraction of the time to produce.
